City of San Carlos (SC): When did the dream to start your business begin?

A: I’ve wanted to start a family therapy center since high school. I used to talk about it during slumber parties with my sister. It’s something I’ve dreamed about for years. While it’s not yet exactly what I envisioned, we’re working toward expanding services and locations to offer a wide range of therapy options. I’m just really happy that the center has already started.

SC: What year was your business founded?

A: I began seeing clients privately in 2020 and officially started the company in 2021.

SC: How would you describe your business and the services you offer?

A:We provide mental health services focused on helping people improve their relationships with themselves and others. Whether someone is struggling with personal goals, emotional challenges, or navigating relationships, we support them in moving toward the life they imagine

SC: Why did you choose to establish your business in San Carlos?

A: I feel very connected to San Mateo County and San Carlos is right in the heart of it. I also started my early work in San Carlos and my mom grew up here, so there’s a strong personal tie. When we found the space and met the other tenants, it felt like a perfect fit for us and for the clients we serve.
