 What Are “Therapeutic Modalities”?

Therapeutic modalities are the methods, approaches, or techniques that therapists use to help clients heal and grow. Think of them as the different “tools” or “paths” in therapy — each one grounded in psychological theory and designed to help clients understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in different ways.

In Other Words:
While specialties describe what a therapist works on (like anxiety, trauma, or relationships),
modalities describe how they work on it.
