Group Details​ 

  • When: Wednesdays at 1 PM

  • Dates: June 11, 18, 25, July 9

  • Who It’s For: Middle school girls (ages 11–14)

  • Cost: $500 for 4 sessions – prepayment required

  • Location: In-person at Izzo Therapy’s San Mateo office

  • Facilitator: Laura Purpura, LMFT

Groups

Our Girls Art Therapy Group is a 4-week summer program designed for middle schoolers navigating the emotional ups and downs of adolescence. Through creative expression and guided conversation, participants will explore identity, build confidence, and strengthen social-emotional skills—all in a fun, supportive environment.

Week 1: Warm-Up & Group Connection
Activities: Name games, identity word cloud, group mandala

Week 2: Who Am I?
Activities: Mask-making to explore internal vs. external self

Week 3: Embracing What Makes Us Unique
Activities: Share masks, Venn diagrams, role play

Week 4: Staying True to You
Activities: Power poses, self-affirmation posters
