Therapy for Teens

At Izzo Therapy, we support teens as they navigate the emotional, social, and academic pressures that come with adolescence.

Our clinicians provide a safe, judgment-free space where teens can express themselves openly, build resilience, and develop healthy coping tools during this important stage of growth and identity development.

Pensive Young Man

We support teens experiencing:

  • Divorce or family separation

  • Anxiety, stress, or feeling overwhelmed

  • Depression or persistent sadness

  • ADHD and focus challenges

  • Emotional regulation and mood swings

  • Low self-esteem and confidence struggles

  • Friendship and peer relationship difficulties

  • Family conflict and communication challenges

  • Academic pressure and school-related stress

  • Social media and digital life stressors

  • Identity exploration and self-discovery

  • Gender identity and sexual orientation exploration

  • Grief and loss

  • Trauma or difficult life experiences

  • Bullying or social exclusion

  • Self-harm or suicidal thoughts

  • Major life transitions

Teen-Centered Therapy

Our approach is warm, collaborative, and respectful of each teen’s individuality and independence. We help teens make sense of their emotions, strengthen communication skills, and build tools they can carry into adulthood.

Clinicians often use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, and creative expression to support emotional growth and resilience.

Whether your teen is feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply needs someone to talk to, we’re here to support their healing and growth every step of the way.
