Im Nadia — a queer Zoroastrian-Iranian therapist-in-training who blends deep clinical training with soul, ritual, and real warmth. I work with children, teens, young adults, adults, and elders, individually, as couples, and as families, supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity and existential crises, and neurodivergence — including young children working through separation anxiety, big emotions, family transitions, and grief, often through play therapy.

My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, and I hold the therapeutic relationship itself as sacred, with particular attunement to interpersonal dynamics. My work draws on existential-humanistic therapy, mindfulness, play and expressive arts therapy, family systems theory, Hakomi (mindfulness-based somatic therapy), and earth-based ritual, alongside CBT for practical, grounded tools. I hold an MA in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, after studying political science through French immersion in Canada.

My path has also included running a bilingual summer camp for kids in Costa Rica, a decade of French tutoring, and teaching workshops for girls and women that break taboos around the menstrual cycle. I speak Farsi, and I'm the first in my cultural community to come out openly as queer — work that mirrors my clinical approach of bridging head and heart in service of the soul's resilience, and its will not just to survive, but to thrive.

In my free time you'll find me drawing homemade cards for friends, dancing like nobody’s watching while people are definitely watching, singing in circle among the trees, and forest bathing barefoot. I love weaving community and organizing gatherings around Berkeley to amplify fun and connection, alongside cooking elaborate meals for friends, fermenting, practicing yoga, journaling in the sun, and cycling around to local cafes to read in.
