Richard earned a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Child Therapy from Antioch University in Los Angeles, and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from California State University, Dominguez Hills.


During his 16 years in early childhood education, Richard worked as an assistant and a teacher. He was also a coach in the positive behavior support class where he worked with teachers and parents of children with challenging behaviors.

He was also trained in play therapy, and led a social skills group at Cheerful Helpers in Los Angeles.


Richard especially enjoys working in disadvantaged communities to empower clients to utilize the resources in the environment. 

In his spare time, Richard enjoys lifting weights and listening to music.
