anti-oppressive

I am bilingual in English and Spanish and received my Master's Degree in Social Work: Clinical Mental Health from the University of Minnesota, Twin-Cities, where I also earned two Bachelor’s Degrees in Family Social Science and Sociology of Law, Criminology, and Deviance.

My therapeutic work is grounded in a holistic, person-centered, and strength-based approach that is both anti-oppressive and trauma-informed. We each have unique lived experiences that make up our worldview and I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, seen, and accepted.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients such as Spanish-speaking families, couples facing marital issues, youth in the foster system, and individuals with severe mental illness. I specialize in treatment for Anger Management, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and Interpersonal Conflict. My therapeutic toolkit includes a blend of principles from Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy.

When not working, I find balance and joy in simple, grounding activities—whether it’s walking by the beach, journaling, creating art, or connecting with loved ones. I also find inspiration in traveling, exploring new places, and expanding my worldview.
