I earned my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, along with a Graduate Certificate in Contemporary Behavior and Addictions, from Capella University. I currently provide services to clients in the San Carlos and San Mateo areas, working with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families across school-based, community-based, and partial hospitalization program (PHP) settings.
My clinical experience includes supporting adolescents ages 12–18 who are navigating depression, anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, self-harm behaviors, ADHD/ADD, grief, and life transitions. I am passionate about helping clients better understand and process their emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, and build resilience in the face of life's challenges. I have also worked closely with families to strengthen communication and provide support for children experiencing suicidal ideation and other mental health concerns.
In addition to individual therapy, I have experience working with couples to improve communication, navigate conflict, and strengthen emotional connection. I also support individuals and couples coping with chronic illness, helping them process the emotional and relational impacts of health challenges while fostering adjustment, self-compassion, and effective communication.
I have a special passion for working with teens and young adults while continuing to expand my work with adults, couples, and families. My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client's unique needs. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful and lasting changes.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time with my family and my adorable corgi. I am also passionate about music and love singing and playing the ukulele and guitar whenever I have the opportunity.
