Hello! I am Jimena. I’m a marriage and family therapist, and I’m passionate about working with people from all cultures through multilingual therapy. I offer sessions in both Spanish and English, and I love supporting couples, moms, and families as they navigate relationship hurdles, communication issues, the transition into parenthood, trauma, or any major life change.
My goal is to help you better understand yourself and your bonds so you can connect with others in a healthier way. My therapy style is collaborative, compassionate, and always respectful of your cultural identity. I use tools from narrative therapy, emotional focus, and practical solutions to help you explore your story and reconnect with your own strengths. I believe with all my heart that you are the expert on your own life; my role is simply to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to transform your reality.
I hold a Master's in Psychology from Harvard University, a Master's of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State and a Bachelor's degree in Human Rights and Peace Studies at the Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana in Mexico City. Thanks to that path in human rights, I’ve had the chance to support very diverse communities from immigrants and women to the LGBTQIA+ community. My commitment is to offer you a safe place where you can reflect, feel understood, and build the changes you’re looking for in your life.
