survivors of child abuse

I hold a Master of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art History from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After working at UCLA as an Academic Counselor for six years, I  transitioned into the mental health space, bringing with me a passion for helping individuals achieve personal and professional growth.

My professional experience spans community mental health and school settings, where I have had the privilege of supporting a wide range of clients in both English and Spanish. I am particularly passionate about working with children of immigrants, first-generation teens, college students, young professionals, and the Latinx community. I have also facilitated anger management and parenting classes and have provided support for survivors of child abuse and interpersonal violence.

My therapeutic approach focuses on helping clients navigate challenges related to cultural identity, trauma, emotional regulation, and life transitions. I offer a warm, client-centered space, integrating evidence-based techniques to empower individuals on their path toward healing and growth.

In my spare time, I cherish moments spent with family and friends, especially when we can enjoy nature together. Traveling is a passion of mine and I love exploring new countries and cultures whenever I can. I also find joy in creative expression through dancing and painting, which helps me recharge and stay inspired. To unwind, I dive into audiobooks, particularly those in the fantasy genre; so you’ll often find me with my earbuds in, happily lost in enchanting stories about faeries and magical worlds!
