What mental health concerns do you treat?
We treat anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, low self-esteem, relationship stress, parenting concerns, major life transitions, and more.

What should I expect from my first therapy session?
Your first session is about getting to know your therapist and building a foundation. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance or know exactly what to say. Many clients begin by talking about what’s been feeling hard lately or what led them to seek therapy.

Your therapist may ask about:
-
Current stressors, symptoms, or patterns you’re noticing
-
Any previous experience with therapy or mental health treatment
-
What you're hoping to get out of therapy (even if you're not sure yet)

The first session is also a chance to go over confidentiality, scheduling, and what the therapy process might look like. It’s okay if you feel nervous—your therapist is there to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can begin to open up at your own pace.

Is therapy helpful even if I’m not in a crisis?
Yes. Therapy isn't just for crisis—it can also help you grow, reflect, and feel more grounded in your everyday life. Many clients come to therapy when they feel “stuck,” are facing a life transition, or just want to better understand themselves and their relationships.

Some common non-crisis reasons people start therapy:
-
Wanting better communication with a partner or family member
-
Struggling with motivation or focus
-
Navigating parenting, career stress, or decision-making
-
Wanting support through grief, change, or personal growth

You don’t have to wait until things feel overwhelming. Therapy can be a proactive, empowering step toward a more balanced life.

How do I know if my teen needs therapy?
Teens often go through emotional ups and downs—but if your teen seems consistently withdrawn, anxious, overwhelmed, or angry, therapy can help. It’s especially important to pay attention to sudden changes in mood, behavior, sleep, or social patterns.
Signs your teen may benefit from therapy:

-
Persistent sadness, irritability, or mood swings
-
Changes in eating or sleeping habits
-
Drop in school performance or motivation
-
Avoiding friends or isolating from family
-
Difficulty managing anger or frustration
-
Talking about feeling hopeless, worthless, or overwhelmed
Teen therapy provides a safe space where they can talk openly with someone outside of their family. Our clinicians are trained to build rapport with teens and help them feel seen, supported, and understood.
