Hello, there! I’m Mariana and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as a therapist with a true love for what I do. I hold a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work from California State University, East Bay. I also draw from my multicultural background and past professional lives as a journalist, foreign officer, and strategy consultant. These experiences have given me a unique perspective and a deep understanding of the complexities that life can throw at us.

I enjoy working with clients of all ages, but there's something about teens and young adults that lights up my soul. My style as a therapist? Well, it's all about warmth, empathy, collaboration, and a touch of humor.

I have experience working with clients who face oppression and identity-related stressors, as well as individuals dealing with depression, PTSD, anxiety, stress, and other trauma-related challenges. I believe in the power of holistic techniques like mindfulness and self-compassion, alongside evidence-based models and strategies, such as CBT, humanistic, and EMDR techniques. I can also offer therapy in Portuguese and Spanish.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy coffee with friends, reading, traveling, and spending time in nature with my family.
