Diana received her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy, from San Jose State University and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of San Francisco.

 

Diana’s background working in community mental health and school-based settings has given her experience working with children, adolescents, and older adults with various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, substance use, and obsessive and compulsive disorders. She has a specific passion for working with the LGBTQ+ community.

 

In her therapeutic practice, Diana creates a supportive and compassionate environment to empower her clients to overcome challenges and lead meaningful lives. She tailors her approach to meet the needs of each individual and enjoys incorporating humor and creativity into sessions. Diana understands the importance of embracing each client's unique cultural context in the therapeutic process. She draws from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and expressive arts therapy.

In Diana's free time, she enjoys baking, traveling, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. She is also a foodie and loves to try new restaurants around the Bay Area.
