Karla speaks both English and Spanish. Her cultural understanding as a Latina is a significant aspect of her work. She earned her Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work, emphasizing Children and Family, from the University of Southern California and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in English from Sacramento State University.

 

Karla's unwavering dedication to working with diverse families, children, adolescents, and young adults is a testament to her commitment. She has helped countless clients understand their mental health when dealing with depression, anxiety, anger management, social-emotional learning, grief and loss, and bullying. Her relationship with her clients is a key factor in her ability to help families understand how mental health can influence their daily lives, making them feel respected and acknowledged.

 

During her spare time, Karla does arts-n-crafts, reads, drinks tea, and goes to the movies. She is close to her family and spends lots of time with her niece and nephew.

 

Fun Fact about Karla: She create her own lotions, and loves to make scented candles.
