My name is Joe, and I am a seasoned psychotherapist. After a career in international business, I made the transition to therapy, which has provided me with unique insight and firsthand experience with changes my client wants to make. My post graduate experience and training have been at Harvard, Santa Clara University and Notre Dame de Namur. I have experience working with adults, young adults and adolescence. My work includes trauma, depression, and anxiety. I have deep experience working with individuals suffering from substance use disorders. I am also experienced working with men dealing with fertility issues and I hold a certification in working with first responders. Clinically, my work is informed by the humanistic approach which includes self-actualization and unconditional positive regard. Every individual is unique. I draw from many therapeutic approaches, to create an approach that is tailored to my clients unique needs. Some of these might include Mindfulness, Motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and others.
During my spare time I spend time with friends and family. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new things. I also spend time gardening, reading and cooking.
Fun Fact: I have always wanted to learn how to play the piano so I am taking lessons now
