Ethel Mostrel is a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California with over 25 years of experience. A recipient of the prestigious CAPES scholarship, she has two Master’s degrees: one in Marriage and Family Therapy from the California Graduate Institute in Los Angeles and one in Clinical Psychology from The New School for Social Research in New York City.
Ms. Mostrel is the author of six books for children and preteens and one for adults titled, Relationships: Cracking the Code.
Ethel has worked at different settings such as: The Foundation for Rechanneling of Education and Emotions where she worked primarily with with adult survivors of childhood abuse, at Rutger’s University with the chemically dependent population, and at White Memorial Center Hospital with a psychiatric inpatient population.
Since 2013, Ms. Mostrel has worked in her private practice called The Relationship Clinic where she sees a high functioning population primarily from Stanford University.
Ms. Mostrel speaks four languages: Portuguese (her native language), Spanish, French, and English. She has two adult children and she lives in Portola Valley.
