Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #110207
Before becoming a therapist I was a preschool teacher and day care owner. This is where my love and my comfort of working with children of all ages and their parents/caregivers/teachers comes from. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Board Certified Art Therapist [#17249] this passion has only deepened. I remain committed to helping children and adults learn how to build stronger and healthier relationships with themselves and those around them using words and art.
My work focuses on helping clients identify both their strengths and their struggles, then creating a clearer vision of where they want to go and building a roadmap of coping to get there. Many clients find that this is enhanced by creating visual expressions (quotes, images, drawing, clay, collage, or crafts). I believe in taking a collaborative approach which honors the unique strengths of each client or family.
When not working with clients on social emotional resilience or self discovery, I love pursuing these same topics with reading, journaling, traveling, and training. Other activities I enjoy are watching every DC/ Marvel movie or show, listening to the rain, time with family and friends, photography, and collage art!
